Integration of new functionalities to the MSME Developer Channel aims to expand access to financing

This Wednesday, 17th, the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) launched public consultation to learn Fintechs technology solutions that can participate in the MSME Developer channel. The goal is to investigate technology solutions available on the market for four types of services that the Bank wants to offer in the future to smaller companies: Financial Education, Credit Analysis, Matching of Financial Solutions and Reverse Auctions for financing credit.

The integration with new tools aims to expand the access of small entrepreneurs to the Bank’s financing, to improve the credit report of the MSMEs, and assist them in the professionalization of their financial management.

Through consultation, BNDES provides the interested suppliers with the specifications to implement the proof of concept of their solution and present questions, comments and suggestions. To participate, the tool needs to meet at least 50% of the requirements listed for each subject, and the solution needs to be operationally available in the market for at least a year.

The public notice of the consultation will be available on BNDES website from January 17, at www.bndes.gov.br/consultafintechs. The deadline for the receipt of responses is March 15.

Access – The MSME Developer Channel  is a digital environment in which companies with annual revenue of up to R$ 300 million can express interest in financing, without having to visit an intermediating resource institution to start searching for BNDES’s financial support for their projects. The tool is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on BNDES website.

In the channel, the businesspeople identify the most appropriate credit lines for their project, simulate financing, point out their preferred financial institutions and quickly forward their indication of interest for financing directly to the experts responsible for the BNDES portfolio in the intermediating institutions.
