The public hearings for Companhia Energética de Alagoas (CEAL) and Companhia Energética do Piauí (CEPISA) will be held in the last week of February, on the 27th (in Maceió, state of Alagoas) and on the 28th (in Teresina/PI), respectively.

In 2017 alone, it is estimated that the implementation of projects with disbursements from BNDES to the Northeast region was responsible for the generation and maintenance of more than 235,000 jobs

The performance of the BNDES Finame line, which finances the acquisition of machinery and equipment and for which disbursements grew 11%, reaching R$ 19.7 billion, also contributed to the result.

BNDES’s support to the restoration of Brazilian biomes follows the guidelines of the Forest Code from 2012 and the National Policy of Native Vegetation Recovery (PROVEG), established in 2017.
