BNDES allocates R$500 million to combat disease related to Aedes Aegypti mosquito
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) will provide R$ 500 million for efforts related to preventing, combating and diagnosing disease related to the Aedes Aegypti mosquito. The financing was announced on March 23, in Brasília, during a ceremony held at the Palácio do Planalto, with President Dilma Rousseff presiding.

BNDES lowers financing costs for working capital, capital goods and exports
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) is taking on new measures to improve the financing conditions for Brazil’s production sector, so as to preserve production, jobs and income. One focus is to alleviate the cash flow for companies, allowing them to refinance operations using the BNDES PSI and expanding the term to quit debts in new operations using the BNDES Card.

BNDES and IFC launch study on PPP project structuring
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) have just launched a study “Structuring PPP and Concession Projects in Brazil: Diagnosis of the Brazilian model and proposals for improvement”. The study comprises a map of development models for private participation projects in Brazil and worldwide.

BNDES disburses R$ 136 billion in 2015
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) disbursed R$ 136 billion for investment projects in 2015. The Infrastructure sector received the largest disbursement with R$ 54.9 billion or 40.4% of the total, followed by Industry – to which the BNDES disbursed R$ 36.9 billion (27.1%) –, Trade and Services (R$ 30.4 billion or 22.4%) as well as Agriculture and Cattle Raising (R$ 13.7 billion or 10.1%).
