On March 11, the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) signed a R$ 30.6 million contract for non-reimbursable resources from the Amazon Fund to provide physical and operational support to the Environmental Operations Company, part of the National Public Security Force of the Ministry of Justice.

The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) approved a R$ 6.6 million loan operation with resources from the Amazon Fund to the Ashaninka Association in the Amônia River. This is the first project directly conceived and submitted to the Amazon Fund by an indigenous community with no public sector or NGO intermediation.

The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) is expanding its financing alternatives to acquire capital goods. The Bank will adopt a new fixed-interest rate, at current market values, to complement financing under the BNDES’ Investment Maintenance Program (PSI).

The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) has surpassed the milestone of R$ 1 billion in operations approved to receive resources from the Amazon Fund. The milestone was reached on December 2014 and corresponds to a sum approved since 2009, when the Fund first started its activities.
