BNDES' disbursements reach R$ 54.4 billion up to April
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) disbursed R$ 54.4 billion between January and April this year, an increase of 59% compared to the same period last year. The increase covered all sectors supported by the Bank, especially industry, which accounted for 37 % of total disbursements in the period (R$ 20.2 billion and up 113 % over the same period last year). Infrastructure accounted for 27%.

Inova Agro disburses R$ 1 billion for innovation
On May 29, the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) and Finep, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Cattle-Raising and Food Supply, released the Inova Agro call-to-bid, a federal government plan that will allocate R$ 1 billion for innovation in the cattle-raising and agriculture sector.

BNDES approves R$ 23 million to monitor the Amazon forest in ACTO countries
The board of directors at the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), within the scope of the Amazon Fund, has approved support in the amount of R$ 23 million to the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO), intergovernmental organization formed by Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela.

BNDES disburses R$ 37.2 billion and registers best first quarter in history
Disbursements from the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) totaled R$ 37.2 billion in the first quarter of 2013, an upsurge of 52% if compared to the same period in 2012. The level of disbursements is the highest in the BNDES’ history for the first quarter and indicates a significant recovery in investments.
