BNDES approves R$ 22.5 billion in financing for Belo Monte
The Board of Directors at the BNDES has approved R$ 22.5 billion in financing for Norte Energia S/A. Resources will be earmarked for construction of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Plant, on the Xingu River (PA), with 11,233 MW in installed capacity. Energy generated will account for 33% of the country’s expanded capacity forecast for the 2015-2019 period.

BNDES provides R$ 329.3 million to build the São Gonçalo do Amarante airport in RN
The BNDES approved R$ 329.3 million in financing to build the São Gonçalo do Amarante International Airport in the city with the same name, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The amount accounts for 75% of total investments. The BNDES also approved R$ 1.64 million in credit for social investments in the area covered by the undertaking.

BNDES disburses R$ 94.6 billion in the first nine months of the year
The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) disbursed R$ 94.6 billion between January and September this year, up 3% when compared to the same period in 2011. Industry and infrastructure, together, accounted for 68% of the Bank’s total performance.

BNDES approves R$ 1.2 billion bridge loan for investments into Guarulhos airport
The BNDES has approved a bridge loan in the amount of R$ 1.2 billion to develop the Project to expand, modernize and explore the Guarulhos International Airport, in the state of São Paulo. The loan is the Bank’s first within the scope of the federal government’s concession program in the airport sector.
