The BNDES will provide R$ 1.1 bn in support to expand the São Paulo gas copmpany (Comgás)
The BNDES approved R$ 1.135 billion in financing for Companhia de Gás de São Paulo (Comgás). The resources, which represent 56% of the total investments the company will make over the period, will be used to expand the natural gas distribution network between 2012 and 2014.

BNDES launches call-to-bid for Criatec II fund, focusing on innovative companies
The public call-to-bid to select a manager for the Criatec II fund is already available on the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) website. The new Investment Fund is aimed at innovative companies with annual net revenue up to R$ 10 million recorded in the year prior to the approval of the fund’s investment.

BNDES approves R$1 bn for transmission line plants on Madeira River
The board of directors of the BNDES approved R$ 1.05 billion in financing for Norte Brasil Transmissora de Energia. The funds will be allocated to implement the collector transmission line in Porto Velho (state of Rondônia) - Araraquara 2 (state of São Paulo), approximately 2,300 km long, which integrates the Rio Madeira transmission system and which will be operational in the first half of 2013.

BNDES approves R$3.9 billion for Vale to invest in logistics in the states of Maranhão and Pará
The board of directors of the BNDES approved R$ 3.882 billion in financing for Vale. The funds will be used to implement the North Logistics Capacity-Building project, which was created to implement a 30.4% expansion of the transport capacity and shipment of iron ore from Vale's Logistics System, which covers the Carajás Railroad and the rail and maritime terminals in Ponta da Madeira, in the states of Pará and Maranhão.
