BNDES Card reaches 1 million contracted operations
On October 5, the BNDES Card, a credit line that supports micro, small and medium-sized companies (MSMEs), reached the mark of 1 million operations carried out since its launch in 2003. In this year alone, it is estimated that more than 500,000 operations will be held, with a disbursement of R$ 7.5 billion.

Brazil: EUR 500 million loan for Climate Change mitigation projects
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is providing a EUR 500 million loan to the BNDES of Brazil for projects in the renewable energy sector supporting climate change mitigation. The objective of this operation is to support investments that generate environmental benefits with respect to combating climate change.

BNDES approves R $ 297 million for five wind farms in Bahia
The Brazilian Development Bank's Board of Directors have approved R$ 297.4 million in financing to implement five wind farms in Bahia. The units are part of the complex of 14 wind farms, which won the 2nd Reserve Energy Bid in 2009.

BNDES approves R$ 1.7 bn bridge loan for transportation logistics of ethanol
The BNDES has approved a bridge loan in the amount of R$ 1.7 billion for Logum Logistics. The resources will be utilized not only to implement a pipeline for transporting ethanol but also to install product collection centers. The logistic system for transporting ethanol to be implemented is part of the Growth Acceleration Program (PAC).
